The inhabitant lives on the inside, placed within stable boundaries.
If by boundary we mean the city limit, which is by nature unstable and constantly redrawn, rather than being fenced in we tend to become incorporated into uncertain geometries. The result is a thinning process; the inhabitant becomes a decorative element, he is emptied of presence. Thus, paradoxically, the city is populated by absent people, by mobile elements of street furniture.
